FOUNDER SUSTAINABLE TECH 4 GOOD
Our Story
The COVID-19 pandemic both highlighted and exacerbated existing digital inequality, preventing those without access to digital devices from continuing online learning or accessing the internet for basic communication and shopping needs.

We became aware of this very early on in the pandemic, and as a company working in the circular economy, with established expertise in data erasure and refurbishment of devices, our founder, Sue Gowling, realised that we were very well placed to help. We started to focus on work with charities and councils, rather than business-to-business sales, making affordable, sustainable and safe tech, plug-and-play ready, available to those most in need. We have both donated and sold affordably devices to help with education and communication throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Digital inequality is an ongoing problem that will remain long after the pandemic has passed and Tech4Inclusion (formerly Laptops4Learning) will continue to focus on providing affordable, sustainable tech to all in need. In the current digital age, competence in using digital devices is essential to operate and thrive. However, such devices are expensive and remain out of the reach of many families and individuals.

We provide a solution by allowing organisations to have their devices securely data erased with certification by serial number, while providing a revenue stream to fund their new IT hardware, or for their own Corporate Social Responsibility programmes. Their redundant tech gets a new life, safely repurposed into affordable, sustainable tech ready to help those in need.
